The everyday lives of 39 Vietnamese individuals who passed away in a container lorry have now been honoured by Londoners at a shrine put up to mark the very first anniversary for the tragedy.
This past year, the number of migrants suffocated in a container because it had been transported from Zeebrugge in Belgium to Purfleet in Essex.
Hackney Chinese Community Services (HCCS) started inviting people to a shrine having to pay tribute to people who destroyed their everyday lives at its centre on Ellingfort path when you look at the eastern London borough on Friday. (more…)
